India web fest 2018 was all about bringing best of creative minds under one roof to discuss, deliberate and to motivate about changing trends on the digital domain. This event was held on 5th September at The Westin, Mumbai, organized by IWM buzz, a publication which caters to the Indian television and web entertainment.
Web entertainment has now become most influential due to growth of OTT players and individual content creators who use Youtube, Facebook, MCN networks and other platform to show their creativity. We learn, how a good content can change the perspective of an individual and also the changing dynamics of the creative market.
The Indian journalist, Managing Director & Editor-in-Chief of Indian news channel Republic TV, Arnab Goswami also addressed the crowd.
“Future will be good if we stop trying to impress each other, if we stop picking up technical facts. Future will be good if there is good content,” he said.
Many popular and influential people like Prajakta Kohli (creator) also shared her views, she said “I don’t feel like it’s a versus or parallel. I feel like they’re co-dependent on each other.” Creator of BB ki Vines, Bhuvan Bam was also present and claimed that he was thrilled to learn some new aspects about content creation. The content creation varies according to the target audience.
“If I am making content for a niche audience and if I get a good number according to the audience then my content is successful,” says Sudeep Lahiri (VP, Content & Strategy, One Digital Entertainment).
This discussion of television v/s digital gained importance as influencers came together to take media forward with their creativity.
